Consortium for Clinical Education and Practice (CCEP)
The Eastern AHEC CCEP Partnership
At Eastern AHEC, we serve as the vital bridge between healthcare and education across our 23 eastern North Carolina counties by spearheading the Consortium for Clinical Education and Practice (CCEP) framework. This standardized, statewide partnership eliminates the logistical and administrative roadblocks of student clinical placement by utilizing a universal Clinical Passport and streamlined Core Orientation Modules. By ensuring that nursing students are 100% compliant with HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control before their rotations begin, CCEP removes the heavy paperwork burden for local hosts. This makes it seamless and zero-cost for public health clinics, home health agencies, and non-traditional community settings across our counties to safely host student rotations, expand training boundaries beyond hospital walls, and directly cultivate eastern North Carolina’s future healthcare workforce.
